5.3-magnitude quake hits North Island of New Zealand: USGS

Wellington [New Zealand], March 18: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted North Island of New Zealand at 15:46 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 38.0709 degrees south latitude and 176.6406 degrees east longitude.
