Biden calls for mandatory mask-wearing

Washington DC (USA), Aug 14: Presumptive US Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has called for mandating masks across the country for the next three months.
The remark came after Biden and his newly-selected running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, received an online briefing about the coronavirus pandemic from public health experts on Thursday.
Biden said, "Every single American should be wearing a mask when they are outside for the next three months at a minimum."
He has been criticizing President Donald Trump for disrespecting expert opinions. Trump has been saying mandating masks nationwide is unnecessary.
Trump responded that Biden's approach is "anti-scientific."
He said the government urges people "to wear masks when they cannot socially distance," but that all Americans should have freedom of choice.
Trump also said Biden should not play politics with the virus.
