Former Maldives president injured in explosion: media report

Bogota (Colombo), May 7: Former Maldives president and parliament speaker Mohamed Nasheed was injured Thursday in an explosion in capital Male, local media reported.
The explosion, suspected to be a bomb blast, went off as Nasheed was getting into his car outside his home, state TV channel PSM reported.
Some reports said a foreign tourist was also injured in the explosion, while other reports said one of Nasheed's bodyguards was also taken to hospital.
