Indonesia reports 1,560 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases, 62 new deaths

Jakarta (Indonesia), Aug 1: The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 1,560 within one day to 109,936, with the death toll adding by 62 to 5,193, the country's health ministry said on Saturday.
The ministry said 2,012 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 67,919.
The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.
Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 368 new cases, East Java 235, Central Java 143, Gorontalo 142, South Sulawesi 130 and North Sulawesi 68.
No more new positive cases were found in eight provinces, namely Aceh, Bangka Belitung, West Sumatra, Lampung, West Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara and Central Sulawesi.
