Afghan officials say two dead, four survivors in Russian plane crash

Moscow [Russia], January 22: Two people were killed when a Russian private jet headed for Moscow crashed in northern Afghanistan with six people on board, local officials said on Sunday.
"One passenger and one pilot were killed. One pilot is alive, along with three passengers," the provincial director of the information and culture department Zabihullah Amiri told DPA after rescue workers reached the remote crash site.
Four crew members and two passengers had been on the plane flying from the Indian state of Goa to Moscow on Saturday, the Russian aviation authority Rosaviaziya said.
The Falcon 10 aircraft, registered in Russia, had disappeared from radar in the northern province of Badakhshan. According to initial findings, the cause was an engine problem.
Russian officials said all six people on board the aircraft were Russian citizens aged between the ages of 26 and 65. (DPA)
