At least 100 killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza

Apr 04, 2025

Gaza [Palestine], April 4: Medical sources said at least 100 people have been killed in Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip since dawn. At least 58 died in northern Gaza City in air strikes on homes and a school-turned-shelter.
At least 29 Palestinians have been killed and 100 injured in an Israeli rocket attack in the school-turned-shelter, according to hospital staff.
Three missiles on Thursday hit a former school that is being used as a camp for displaced people, according to representatives of the Hamas-controlled security forces. Women and children are also said to have been among the victims.
The Israeli army confirmed the attack in the city of Gaza. It said it had been aimed at a Hamas command centre where "prominent terrorists" were allegedly present at the time of the attack. The military had previously taken measures to minimize harm to uninvolved civilians.
According to eyewitnesses, many tents were set up in the courtyard and in the vicinity of the attacked former school in the Daraj Tuffah district. Palestinian families who have been made homeless by the war live there. This would explain the high number of victims. (Agencies)
