At least 29 dead in strikes on Gaza

Apr 06, 2025

Gaza Border [Israel], April 6: At least 29 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip with air strikes killing Palestinian civilians in the north and south.
At least 19 people were killed in the morning when a three-storey house in the city of Khan Younis was hit, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. Numerous people were also injured.
Meanwhile, the Hamas-controlled health authority in Gaza reported 86 deaths in fighting and attacks in the Gaza Strip within the past 24 hours.
Following the expansion of the ground offensive in the north of the Gaza Strip announced by Israel, thousands of people are fleeing the area, according to residents. Several Israeli tanks had entered the eastern neighbourhood of Shejaiya in Gaza City, witnesses told DPA.
Meanwhile, at least 100 Palestinian children have been killed or injured each day in Gaza since Israel broke the ceasefire on March 18, the head of UNRWA said.
"Nothing justifies the killing of children," Philippe Lazzarini, chief of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), posted on X.
"This is a stain on our common humanity," Lazzarini added.
More than 50,600 Palestinians have been killed in the enclave in Israel's military onslaught since October 2023, mostly women, children, and the elderly. (Agencies)
