Boy George calls Paloma Faith a 'soggy sandwich'

Washington [US], September 9: Boy George has labelled Paloma Faith a "soggy tuna sandwich" after wading into the row surrounding Macklemore's "Free Palestine" plea.
Macklemore hit headlines when he took to the stage to open Ed Sheeran's Loop tour at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on Friday and told the crowd: "One of the reasons why I wanted to come on this tour was because I wanted to stand up here on stages in stadiums across America and say two words that are very near and dear to my heart: Free Palestine. I said, Free Palestine!"
His words sparked outrage from many, with Pink sharing a post slamming the rapper for his words, and now Culture Club's George has become the latest to weigh in.
He was referring to his The Voice co-judge Paloma Faith labelling Macklemore her "hero", as he wrote on X: "On the subject of @macklemore it's important to note that slogans such as 'Free Palestine' offer the appearance of moral courage without requiring much political knowledge."
Pointing out that Sheeran has yet to comment on the controversy, he continued: "@edsheeran clearly has no spine and as for @Palomafaith and her stupid virtuous squealing of delight about Mackle-bore when she is about as political as a soggy tuna sandwich."
George, who released a pro-Israel reggae song in July, added: "The whole thing makes me queasy."
He and Faith famously locked horns on The Voice UK when they had a on-air row which led to him calling her "extremely rude".
When someone on X asked if he and Faith were still "buddy buddy", George replied cryptically: "All showbiz relationships are sequin deep!"
On Saturday night, as he said: "To all of my Jewish brothers and sisters: criticism of Israel, criticism of apartheid, being against genocide in no way is a criticism of you.
"My message is for peace; love for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality."
