Consumer Electronics Show concludes with AI dominating tech spotlight

Las Vegas [Nevada], January 10: The 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) concluded here on Friday, highlighting rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and its expanding role across consumer electronics, robotics, automobiles and smart manufacturing.
As one of the world's largest and most influential technology events, this year's CES showcased cutting-edge innovations in generative AI, edge AI, embodied intelligence, smart devices and automotive technologies, reflecting the accelerating integration of digital intelligence into real-world applications.
AI emerged as the defining theme of the event. From AI-powered consumer electronics and smart home systems to service robots and wearable devices, exhibitors demonstrated how AI technologies are moving from experimental stages into practical, everyday use, with increasing emphasis on on-device processing and scenario-based applications.
Automotive and mobility technologies also drew significant attention. Major automakers and technology companies unveiled intelligent cockpit solutions, advanced driver-assistance systems and vehicle-mounted AI platforms, underscoring the growing role of automobiles as next-generation smart terminals.
Chinese companies maintained a strong presence at the show, presenting products and solutions spanning consumer electronics, display technologies, robotics and artificial intelligence. Their participation highlighted continued progress in smart hardware development, system integration and industrial innovation.
"The innovation capability of Chinese brands is indeed improving rapidly," Li Wei, president of Hisense Visual Technology Co, told Xinhua. "Particularly in the home appliance sector, this growing strength is increasingly reflected in high-end products, marking a fast transition from followers to industry leaders."
He noted that Chinese companies are seeing swift improvements not only in innovation, but also in the speed of application and their ability to industrialize new technologies.
According to the U.S. Consumer Technology Association, the organizer, the annual tech show attracted more than 4,100 exhibitors from over 155 countries and regions.
