Athens [Greece], January 4: Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has changed the leadership of four ministries in a cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday, but key portfolios remain unchanged, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said.
Michalis Chryssochoidis was appointed as citizen protection minister. He has been serving as health minister, and served in Citizen Protection Ministry in the past.
Meanwhile, Adonis Georgiadis, former minister of labor and social welfare, was appointed as minister of health. His former post will be taken by Domna Michailidou, who was deputy minister of education.
A newcomer in the cabinet, Ioanna Lytrivi, was appointed as deputy minister of education, religious affairs and sports.
Pavlos Marinakis, who remains government spokesperson, was also named as deputy minister to the prime minister.
The new ministers will be sworn in before Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and assume office on Thursday, according to Greek National News Agency ANA-MPA.
The conservative ruling New Democracy party of Mitsotakis won the general elections last year, with a wide parliamentary majority leading to a second term in office. The current government's term ends in June 2027.
