Frankfurt loan striker Lammers from Atalanta

Sep 01, 2021

Berlin (Germany) , September 1: Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed on a season-long loan deal for Atalanta striker Sam Lammers, the Eagles confirmed in an official statement on Tuesday.
Lammers' arrival at Eintracht offsets the departure of striker Andre Silva, who joined RB Leipzig earlier this summer.
"Sam is a player who gives us more options in our offense. He was one of our top candidates from the start and we are very happy that he will play for Eintracht with immediate effect. With his technical skills and understanding of the game he will be able to help us quickly," Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche said.
The Dutchman joined Atalanta from PSV Eindhoven in summer 2020 and scored two goals in 17 games.
The Eagles are still waiting for their first win of the new Bundesliga season and sit 14th in the standings, ahead of a clash with Stuttgart on September 11.
