Gold prices steady, silver declines

New York [US], May 7: Gold prices were broadly steady near a one-week high today.
In spot trading, gold held steady at US$4,688.16 per ounce after rising by around 3 percent yesterday, Wednesday, to its highest level since 27th April.
US gold futures for June delivery rose 0.1 percent to $4,696.60.
Among other precious metals, silver fell 0.2 percent in spot trading to $77.16 per ounce, platinum rose 0.1 percent to $2,062.50, while palladium declined 0.3 percent to $1,533.25.
