Aug 29, 2025

Rome [Italy], August 29: Italians have reacted with outrage after an online platform with hundreds of thousands of users was found to have been collecting and altering photographs of women for years without their consent.
Some of the images on Phica were edited and accompanied by obscene and violent comments. Among those affected are public figures such as Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, opposition leader Elly Schlein and influencer Chiara Ferragni.
The case came to light after Valeria Campagna, a local councillor in Latina, discovered her own photographs on the site and filed a complaint.
