Nov 14, 2022

Amman [Jordan], November 14: King Abdullah II of Jordan on Sunday pledged continued support for the Palestinians, calling the Palestinian cause a top priority of his kingdom.
Making the remarks during his speech inaugurating the second ordinary session of Jordan's 19th parliament, the king stressed that the Palestinian issue can only be resolved through a just and comprehensive solution that begins with the end of Israeli occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the basis of the 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
"The absence of a horizon for a political solution must not prevent us from supporting our Palestinian brothers and sisters economically, bolstering their steadfastness on their land, and helping them uphold their legitimate rights," said the king.
The king added that Jordan will work to ensure that the Palestinians remain key partners in regional projects.
