Many people suddenly realize they belong to a new gender.

Aug 25, 2024

Washington [US], August 25: News.com.au reported on August 25 that many people realized their true gender after discovering the term "sexual fluidity" on social media and finding it similar to their own situation.
Abrosexuality refers to people whose gender identity changes over time. A person may be attracted to different genders at different times in their life, or have varying degrees of attraction.
"It was only when I read the Instagram page of Zoe Stoller, a US-based content creator, educator, and social worker who works to improve the visibility of the LSBTQ+ community, that I first encountered the term gender fluidity," reader Emma Flint shared in an article for Metro .
"You know in cartoons when a light bulb appears above their head? That's how I felt when I read their posts. Finally, I felt seen," the post read.
She shared that her going from being a lesbian one day to bisexual one day caused some people to question or doubt her, even though she had written about her gender identity before.
But finally finding a word to describe her sexual identity at age 30 gave her a sense of confidence. "I no longer worry about my sexual orientation because it makes sense to me, and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters," she says happily.
People who identify as sexually fluid can move between heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, and asexuality. There is no specific time frame for when a person in this group may or may not be attracted to a certain gender .
The community has continued to grow in recent years as more and more people become aware of the term, thanks to people sharing their own stories.
