Hanoi [Vietnam], June 26: Mai Phương Thúy didn't hesitate to respond to a comment suggesting, "Without the title of Miss Vietnam, I wonder if my life would be as successful and wealthy as it is now?"
Recently, information about Mai Phuong Thuy's wealth has attracted much attention. Some viewers admire the 8X beauty queen for her affluent and wealthy life at the age of 38. However, there are also opposing opinions, notably one commenter who wrote: "Without the title of beauty queen, I wonder if her life would be as successful and wealthy as it is now? Fame creates opportunities; otherwise, she would be just like everyone else. To succeed, one must struggle or be unable to succeed at all."
In response to this comment, Mai Phuong Thuy didn't hesitate to speak up. She expressed her opinion, stating that if she didn't have a title, she would start from scratch and persevere on her journey. She wrote: "If I fail the exam, I'll retake it. If I fail 9 times, I'll try 10 times. As long as I persevere, I don't believe that working like a normal person is that difficult. I also got into Foreign Trade University, and I've experienced the hardships of studying, so I'm not afraid of difficulties."
According to Mai Phuong Thuy, the skills needed to be a beauty queen and to work in the financial field are completely different. The 8X beauty also revealed that she once considered giving up everything to work in a bank in 2008, when she was only 20 years old. However, at that time, she had too many community projects, so her workload was quite heavy.

"From 2010 to 2012, the beauty queens weren't fully mature yet because they had just been crowned, so it took me a while to learn from them. The space provided by the title of beauty queen doesn't allow me to fully develop my potential. At least if I didn't have the title, you couldn't use it to doubt or dismiss me. At that point, you'd have to use your expertise to judge me," she shared on her personal page.
At the end of the post, when sharing her reasons for speaking out on her personal page, Mai Phuong Thuy frankly stated: "I'm so tired of being labeled as an entertainment professional even though I've already started working professionally, even though that's not true." In an interview with us, the Miss Vietnam 2006 winner said that the post expressed her opinion on the matter.
Mai Phương Thúy was crowned Miss Vietnam 2006 and later made it to the Top 17 of Miss World. Despite possessing advantages in beauty and height, the former Miss Vietnam did not actively pursue a career in showbiz, choosing instead to focus on investment. Nevertheless, the 8X beauty once shared that the Miss Vietnam title opened up many opportunities for her personal growth and valuable experiences.
Currently, she has chosen to set aside her title to explore life from new perspectives. Mai Phương Thúy says she didn't hesitate or overthink when choosing to "change direction" and enter the investment field. The 8X beauty confided that she is a keen learner, like a child in a candy store. Although she is no longer active in showbiz as before, Mai Phương Thúy's name still receives attention from the online community.
