Oil prices drop 1% with Brent at $93.45

Aug 24, 2026

London [UK], August 24: Oil prices slipped by nearly 1 % on Monday, driven down by declines in international benchmark futures.
Brent crude futures dropped 94 cents, or 1 percent, to trade at $93.45 a barrel by 23:08 GMT.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude similarly fell by 92 cents, or 1.06 percent, settling at $86.14 a barrel.
The pullback follows market adjustments to recent energy reports highlighting elevated crude inventories and mixed demand forecasts, temporarily easing pressure after persistent Middle East supply risks had driven benchmarks higher.
