Polish president joins right-wing march

Nov 12, 2025

Warsaw [Poland], November 12: Polish President Karol Nawrocki joined a traditional march of right-wing forces in Warsaw on Independence Day on Tuesday.
"Poland first," the conservative leader wrote on X. "A free, independent and sovereign Poland is our duty, and that's what this holiday is all about!" The eurosceptic head of state declared that he would never allow Poland "to become parrots of nations that parrot everything that comes from the West."
A video from the president's office showed Nawrocki marching with the red and white flag of Poland. According to Warsaw security authorities, around 100,000 people took part in the march.
On November 11, Poland celebrates the anniversary of its re-establishment in 1918, after 123 years of division between the Kingdom of Prussia, Austria-Hungary and Russia. The march in the capital Warsaw has developed into one of the largest rallies of right-wing and far-right forces in Europe.
