Saqr Ghobash welcomes ceasefire between Israel, Lebanon in phone call with Nabih Berri

Abu Dhabi [UAE], November 28: Saqr Ghobash, Speaker for the Federal National Council, made a phone call with Nabih Berri, Speaker for the Lebanese Parliament, in which he welcomed the announcement of the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel coming into effect.
He emphasised the UAE's support for Lebanon, its security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The Top Parliamentarian stated that the UAE's support for the Lebanese people comes in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, affirming the Emirates' position and steadfast support for Lebanon, its national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the restoration of its status on the Arab, regional, and international stages.
He also appreciated all international efforts made to restore peace, security, and safety in the region, and to achieve stability, prosperity, and peace.
For his part, the Speaker for the Lebanese Parliament expressed his gratitude to the UAE leadership, government, parliament, and people, appreciating the significant support provided by the UAE to Lebanon during its crisis. This support, he said, reflects the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries and embodies the principles of historical brotherhood, wishing the UAE further progress and prosperity.
