Several injured as Istanbul buildings collapse due to gas explosion

Istanbul [Turkiye], March 23: Several people have been injured after two buildings collapsed due to a gas explosion in Istanbul.
Nine residents were rescued from the rubble and taken to hospital, the DHA news agency reported on Sunday, citing the governor's office. A search is still under way at the scene of the accident in the Fatih district for two more people buried under the rubble. Television footage showed helpers trying to reach the people. It was initially unclear exactly why the gas explosion occurred. (DPA)
