Singapore's manufacturing output grows 14.6 pct on year in November

Singapore (Singapore), December 25: The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) said Friday that the country's manufacturing output increased by 14.6 percent year on year in November, compared to the revised 17 percent increase in October.
Excluding biomedical manufacturing, the output grew 12.4 percent year on year this November, compared to the 9.7 percent growth in the previous month.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, Singapore's manufacturing output increased by 2.3 percent in November. Excluding biomedical manufacturing, output rose 2.7 percent.
As for the performance of different clusters, the electronics cluster's output expanded by 10.2 percent year on year in November, while the chemicals cluster's grew 8.5 percent, the precision engineering cluster's grew 13.7 percent, the transport engineering cluster's increased by 31.2 percent, and the general manufacturing cluster's rose 8.8 percent.
The biomedical manufacturing cluster saw its output grow 20.1 percent year on year in November, compared to the revised 56.8 percent expansion in the previous month.
