Hanoi [Vietnam], May 21: Following a series of reports about celebrities being involved with drugs, Hanh Thuy shared her candid and thoughtful thoughts about the downfall behind the glamour.
As reported by Thanh Nien newspaper , on May 20th, the Drug Crime Investigation Department (PC04) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police announced the successful dismantling of a complex drug trafficking ring in the area. The Ho Chi Minh City Police have prosecuted 71 defendants for the illegal buying, selling, possession, and organization of drug use. Notably, among them are two singers active in the entertainment industry: singer Long Nhat and singer Son Ngoc Minh .
Shortly afterward, on her personal page, artist Hanh Thuy attracted attention by posting an article to clarify her viewpoint: "I never support the use of banned substances . I never support actions that violate the law, but I want to share a more 'gentle and approachable' perspective."
According to Hanh Thuy, banned substances sometimes exist in many forms, considered a "stylish and trendy" trend, rather than a harmful substance that infiltrates parties, bars, nightclubs, and the entertainment habits of many young people. She recounted witnessing someone use more than 10 balloons of nitrous oxide in one night, claiming it was "not addictive, just for fun, and harmless." Or the case of many people always carrying "blue and pink pills" when going out with friends, as a way to show off their status and sophistication.
Meritorious Artist Hạnh Thúy shares a message about the dangers of drugs.
The female artist stated that the stories she witnessed took place many years ago, some even spanning decades. However, a common thread among many who fall into drug addiction is that if they lack the awareness to stop, they often face the breakdown of both their lives and careers. When trust is lost, professional relationships gradually close, and collaborations or opportunities are no longer offered as before.
According to Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy: "Even the people themselves say: 'It's because I'm naughty, I know I'm naughty, but I can't stop.' At first, it's just for fun, then they cling to it for fun, and then the fun turns into nothingness. The scary thing is: most people don't enter these things with the thought 'I'll get addicted,' but with the mentality of 'let's try it,' 'it's okay once,' 'a little bit is okay,' 'I'll be able to stop,' 'I'm not addicted, I'm just having fun,' 'I can control it.'"
"Until one day, the very thing that once helped me 'soar' started dragging me down. Things you consider 'pleasures' don't just take money. They take away your ability to feel happy, your ability to be a normal person. The scariest thing isn't when you're doing it, but when you realize you're slowly wasting away. yet you can't stop," Hanh Thuy further shared.
According to the actor from the film , Society needs to deal severely with violations, but it also needs to view cases of moral decline as a warning bell for young people. No kind of "trendiness" is worth sacrificing one's future and self-respect for.
Meritorious Artist Hạnh Thúy believes that strength isn't about trying to prove you're "good at it," but about being level-headed enough to stop at the right time. She hopes that those who have never tried drugs won't sacrifice their lives just out of curiosity, and that those who are trapped in that vicious cycle will bravely seek help before it's too late.
