Tunisian president meets Algerian FM on bilateral ties

Tunis [Tunisia],November 27: Tunisian President Kais Saied met on Saturday with visiting Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra to discuss bilateral ties and issues of mutual interests, said a statement released by the presidency.
The meeting focused on "brotherly relations between the two countries and the common will to develop them further," said the statement.
The two sides also stressed the need to identify new prospects for cooperation, deepen dialogue and continue coordination.
They also reviewed the results of the 31st Arab League (AL) Summit and discussed regional and international issues of common interest, the statement read.
On Nov. 1, Saied attended the 31st AL Summit, which was held in the Algerian capital of Algiers.
Food security and Palestinian issue were on top of the agenda of the two-day summit, the first meeting of the AL since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.
