Turkiye detains over 300 Islamic State suspects in nationwide raids

Istanbul [Turkey], May 14: Turkish police detained more than 300 suspected Islamic State extremists in coordinated raids across 47 provinces, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.
Security forces seized weapons, cash and digital materials during the nationwide operations, Interior Minister Mustafa Ciftci said on X. Turkiye has repeatedly cracked down on suspected IS cells accused of maintaining logistics and recruitment networks inside the country.
The militant group has carried out or claimed several deadly attacks in Turkey over the past decade, including bombings targeting civilians, security forces and tourist sites.
