Paris [France], April 9: Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs in the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs, conducted an official visit to Paris from 7-8 April 2025, reaffirming the enduring strategic partnership between the UAE and the French Republic. The visit served as an opportunity to further strengthen foreign policy alignment between senior officials from the two countries on a range of issues of shared concern on regional and international files. The agenda centred around a substantive first round of political consultations at the Quai d'Orsay, co-chaired with Frederic Mondoloni, Director General for Political and Security Affairs at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, which discussed rapidly evolving geopolitical developments in Europe, the Middle East and Horn of Africa and underlined a shared emphasis on mediation and diplomacy. The discussion confirmed a shared resolve to navigate complex global realities through concerted action together. As part of the visit, Nusseibeh also held a series of bilateral meetings with senior French officials at the Elysee, including Paul Soler, Special Envoy of the President; Jeremie Robert, Head of African Affairs; as well as Bruno Fuchs, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee. The engagements reflected the strength of UAE-France relations and explored areas for continued strategic coordination in fields of common interest, including regional security in the Middle East and Horn of Africa and globally, as well as partnerships in investment cooperation, development aid, trade and Artificial Intelligence. Across all topics, working together to achieve peace and stability is a key objective of the strategic partnership between the UAE and France. The visit continued the momentum coming out of the visits to France by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in February, and by H.H.
