Zhao Wei seeks a new direction after years of turmoil.
Zhao Wei revealed that she has stopped drinking alcohol in recent years. She feels herself changing every day and believes she is probably happier now than before. Over the past few years, the actress has mostly stayed home or traveled alone, rarely appearing in public. She admits to enjoying this slower pace of life.
"I could certainly update my life on Weibo, but I think it's better to enjoy some peaceful time. Many friends have invited me to events, but I don't want to overwork myself; I just want to slow down," the star of the drama " New River of Separation" shared.
Speaking about the golden age of her life, Zhao Wei said that when she was young, she always thought the most brilliant years were yet to come. However, as she grew older, the actress realized that she might have passed that period without even knowing it. According to her, people often only recognize the most beautiful moments when looking back at the past. Therefore, instead of constantly reminiscing or waiting for the future, everyone should cherish what they have. "The simplest thing is to see life, time, and opportunities in the present as your golden age. Only then can we truly appreciate everything in front of us," she said.
Recalling her time producing wine in France, Zhao Wei said that this experience helped her realize the beauty of simple things. Previously, she often underestimated small joys, but now she considers them an important part of what gives meaning to life. The actress also admitted that difficulties are inevitable. According to her, overcoming one challenge doesn't mean other problems won't arise. When asked what message she would like to convey to herself at age 30 or 40, Zhao Wei said that each stage of life has its own lessons that must be experienced firsthand. "Don't assume the past is always wonderful, and don't assume the future will be better. In reality, the only thing we have is the present," she shared.
Besides the changes in her life, Zhao Wei revealed that she is interested in and investing in short films using artificial intelligence (AI). She hopes to expand cooperation with Singaporean partners in the television and technology fields. When asked if she wants to return to the spotlight, the actress said she no longer sets specific goals but wants things to happen naturally. "I've experienced so much. At this stage, exploring places I've never been to is probably more meaningful. I will live well, read books, travel more, and participate in a few television dramas," she expressed.

FirstClub Reimagines Beauty the Way It Reimagined Grocery, Bans 100+ Ingredients in New Beauty & Personal Care Category

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], November 6: FirstClub, India's quality-first consumer app, is expanding into Beauty & Personal Care after almost a year and a half of building a grocery business focused on bridging the trust gap in everyday consumption. Having banned over 200 ingredients across packaged foods, including artificial colours, preservatives and palm oil, the platform is now extending its ingredient-led approach to the beauty and personal care category. Introduced under “Filtered for Good”, the new assortment extends the company’s product-selection philosophy beyond grocery into a category where ingredient lists, product claims and performance can be difficult for shoppers to assess. Having started with quality grocery, the platform has since added quality pet care and home & kitchen, and now brings the same quality philosophy to beauty. The move follows a consumer poll FirstClub ran, asking what the platform should fix next, in which beauty and personal care emerged as the most-voted category.
