J&K to get its largest International Yoga Centre on Dhirendhra Bhrahmachari’s camp site

Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir), December 12 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir residents will soon get its largest International Yoga Centre. The International Yoga Mantalai project in Udhampur district is underway and 97 per cent construction work in Mantalai village has completed. Dhirendra Brahmachari, who was the yoga teacher of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, established his camp in the area and now the Government’s focus is on the revival of this place. The project is a part of GoI’s Swadesh Darshan scheme which was launched to develop potential tourism spots in the country. The project will likely witness heavy domestic and foreign tourists. Approximately 88.77 crores would be spent on this project. This project will help the locals with employment, especially the youths who wish to pursue yoga as their career. Mantalai project is expected to open a new horizon for the villagers. With a built-in pyramid and an inverted pyramid structure, this would be the largest international Yoga Centre in Jammu and Kashmir.
