Bangladesh not to take new mega projects before national election: minister

Dhaka [Bangladesh], November 7: The Bangladesh government said on Sunday that it would not take any new mega projects before the next national election.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister ObaidulQuader made the remarks during an event in the capital Dhaka.
"There is no plan to take any new mega project before the election as per the directive of the prime minister," he said.
According to Quader, the South Asian country's next national polls will be held in December 2023 or January 2024.
