Hanoi [Vietnam], September 28: Before becoming a tattoo artist, Danis Nguyen was passionate about acting. Recently, he gained attention for his role as the 'kingpin' in 'The Human Trafficking Camp'.
According to Danis Nguyen, "The Human Trafficking Camp " was actually made before "The Guardian of the Spirits: The Mystery of King Dinh's Tomb ," but was released later. For him, this was a journey to explore cinema through two characters with different characteristics: protagonist and antagonist.
"The hardest thing wasn't portraying the villain's appearance, but understanding the psychology of someone who might view cruel acts as a normal part of their job," he said about his role as Mao Dai in the film that just set a Vietnamese record.

To prepare for the role, Danis Nguyen researched and studied individuals who had committed atrocities. What haunted him was not only the scale of evil but also the state of human nature. According to the 48-year-old actor, when evil becomes normal for the perpetrator, it is truly terrifying. This is also the point he wanted to explore when developing the character.
